Vero Beach Museum of Art hosts Holidays at the Museum.
The Vero Beach Museum of Art once again presents Holidays At The Museum on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. This free one-day holiday celebration for children of all ages begins at 1 p.m. and continues through 4 .pm.
The museum’s celebration is offered to the children and families on the Treasure Coast as a gift of gratitude from the trustees, staff and Friends of the Vero Beach Museum of Art volunteers.
Guests will enjoy free juice and cookies in the Holmes Great Hall and free entertainment in the Museum’s Leonhardt Auditorium that includes: Lozada School of Music Students; Indian River Charter High School VAPA Dancers; Osceola Magnet School Singers; Riverside Children’s Theatre’s Star Troupe, and Beachland Elementary’s Shark Singers. Santa Claus will arrive at 2 p.m. to hear the dreams and wishes of good little girls and boys in the Stark Rotunda. Young and old alike are also invited to take part in the free holiday art-making activities in the Museum Art School studio classrooms as well as free art exhibition admission to view "Norman Rockwell: Behind the Camera," "Pop Art Revisited: A 21st Century Perspective" and "Landscape Paintings of Adam Straus," along with works from the permanent collection in the Stark Gallery and the Alice and Jim Beckwith Sculpture Park.
The Vero Beach Museum of Art is located at 3001 Riverside Park Drive, in Riverside Park, Vero Beach. From I-95 or U.S. 1, take (Exit 147) State Road 60 east towards the beach, cross over the Merrill Barber bridge and turn right at the first traffic light into Riverside Park.
