Ranked the best city beach on the Gulf of Mexico by "Dr. Beach" for their wide variety of attractions, accommodations and recreation.

Water activities abound.  Swim, sail, hangglide, parasail, take sailing lessons, hop on a dolphin-watching cruise, go deep sea fishing or enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise on the Gulf.

Pier 60 Park at the edge of the beach offers nightly sunset fun with musicians and artisans.  Free movies at sunset are offered on weekends - just bring blankets or chairs.

Shopping opportunities include the downtown Cleveland Street district with boutiques, galleries and cafes, and inland is the 100+ store shopping center, Westfield Mall, complete with an indoor ice skating rink.

Seems like a festival is always happening.  Most famous is the Clearwater Jazz Festival each October, as well as the Clearwater National Powerboat Races in the fall.  A number of food and arts and crafts festivals can be found most every month.  Clearwater is also home to Phillies spring training facility, Brighthouse Field.

Clearwater's award winning beaches are perfect for couples, honeymooners, singles and families.  Sand Key Park is perfect for picnics and family reunions.
