Description:

The Enchantment of the Mai-Kai - The Mai-Kai was voted the area’s Best Unique Dining Experience for many fine reasons – just simply because it’s the best.  The Polynesian restaurant features many signature dishes as well as traditional fare.  Guests may dine while enjoying the nation's longest running Polynesian dance revue, or in a quiet room overlooking the tropical gardens and waterfalls.

A community landmark - In 1956 the 4-room restaurant with a small bar and remarkable peaked thatched roof, stood alone on the outskirts of Fort Lauderdale drawing guests from near and far.  Guests drove over the wood planked bridge and entered a distant world of enchantment.  Several additions later and a complete renovation completed in Spring 2009, the restaurant now boasts eight dining rooms seating 489, a 150-person capacity bar/lounge, a gift shop, meeting/banquet facilities and a tropical garden through which guests may stroll and/or dine.

Breathtaking Entertainment – The longest running Polynesian show in the entire USA including HawaiiThe Mai-Kai Islander Revue features authentic Polynesian music, dance, costumes and artifacts.  Members of the troupe represent many of the islands that make up the South Pacific including Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa and New Zealand. A new floorshow, directed and choreographed by native Tahitian Mireille Thornton, debuts every January. The Revue reflects the music and culture of each island by interpreting ancient stories through song and dance.

Molokai Bar - Designed as a turn-of-the-century seaport saloon, the Molokai bar features 57 specialty drinks, a full service bar and extensive wine list.  Lighting from ships’ lanterns enhance the intimate and friendly atmosphere.  And who doesn’t love the water cascading over the windows, and beautiful sarong clad maidens. Open Tuesday - Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Happy Hour  5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Daily Drink Special from 7 pm to closing. On Wednesdays patrons enjoy a complimentary buffet with drink purchase.
