Romanza promotes and produces cultural events that showcase St. Augustine's vibrant living culture, that enhance the quality of life for residents, and that create a positive lasting impression of the Nation's Most Romantic City for visitors.
The Romanza Festivale in May, a multi-day, multi-venue, multi-arts events. Top regional talent, cultural organizations and businesses “cluster” together once a year to showcase why St. Augustine is the region’s cultural epicenter year round. Romanza coordinates the collaboration, produces several free and ticketed events, and brings in big name headliners to draw national and international attention.
The Romanza Festivale, unlike most other large St. Augustine festivals does not occur in a single location and is not produced by a single organization. This major annual event is coordinated by Romanza, but is open to productions by any St. Johns County cultural organization. Their productions may include any genre of music, dance, visual arts, cuisine, theatre and heritage reenactment.
In 2011 Romanza founded The St. Augustine Celtic Music and Heritage Festival, which we do centrally produce in a core location (Francis Field). However, even that event encourages community oranizations and businesses to piggyback and celebrate our Celtic roots. The St. Patrick’s Day parade kicks off the Festival and gets the entire downtown historic district involved.
