The mission of the Museum of Discovery and Science is to provide experiential pathways to lifelong learning in science for children and adults through exhibits, programs and films. Founded in 1976 as The Discovery Center, the nonprofit facility serves approximately 450,000 visitors annually. Major operational support for the Museum is provided through generous support by Leadership Guild members including: Broward Health, JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Sun Sentinel, Patriot National Insurance Group and Wells Fargo. The Museum is open seven days a week, 365 days a year; Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. with extended IMAX® hours on most evenings. Combo Ticket prices (Exhibits & IMAX Experience Film) are $20 for adults and seniors; $17 for children 2-12. For IMAX only, tickets prices are $14 for adults and seniors; $11 for children 2-12. Humpback Whales 3D

The ocean’s Humpback whales have inspired a 3D giant screen film that will premiere in international theatres. Humpback Whales will take audiences to the underwater world, to the faraway places where Humpbacks live and thrive. From the clear turquoise waters of the South Pacific to Africa, Hawaii and Alaska, this 40-minute ocean adventure will reveal what we know about this giant mammal and what mysteries scientists are determined to solve.
