The Mexico Beach CDC, Inc. will sponsor the Annual Mexico Beach Photography Contest. Submissions can be sent to the CDC, April 1st through July 30th.
Criteria: Photographs must be taken within the City Limits of Mexico Beach, FL. Photos may be either Black & White or Color and can have been captured anytime. Photographs cannot be digitally enhanced. Submissions must be unframed prints and fall within the required categories.

The 12th Annual Mexico Beach Offshore Classic is set for July 29-30! This two-day tournament has over $9,200 in cash prizes that will be given out. Three fishing categories give anglers the best opportunity to catch the big one in King Mackerel, Dolphin and Wahoo. Captain’s party will kickoff this event on Friday, July 28th at 5:30pm at the El Governor Motel. Fishing starts bright and early on Saturday, July 29th, and Sunday July 30th. Weigh-in for both days will take place at the Mexico Beach Marina between 4:00pm and 5:30pm. The last day will also include awards ceremony. weekend in Mexico Beach.
Come participate or cheer on the participants at the 20th Annual MBARA Kingfish Tournament which is a charitable event to build artificial reefs. Kicking off the event is the Captain’s Party on Friday, August 26th, 5pm-9pm CT, at Beacon Hill Park. Fishing in the tournament is Saturday, August 27th, 5am-5pm CT and the weigh-in from 1pm-5pm CT at the Mexico Beach Marina. Every Thursday at Sunset Park (located next to the El Governor Motel) there will be talented performers playing for your enjoyment. Singing songs that we all know and love and letting us in on some of their own original creations. The event kicks off at 6pm and lasts until 8pm. Parking is available at the El Governor or across Hwy 98. So, come early, grab your spot, bring your chairs and coolers, and relax as you enjoy the rhythms of the music!
We are triathletes, volunteers, runners, couch potatoes, and other kinds of people. We love our bikes as much as you do and swimming challenges as much as it challenges you (probably a lot more). We love the sport. Starting it's 12th year at Veteran's Memorial Park in St. Joe Beach, athletes from all will run, bike, and swim in this USA Triathlon sanctioned event. With a well marked courses that follows the Gulf of Mexico, volunteers will be along the roads handing out water and cheering each athlete on. The Mexico Beach Christmas Celebration of Lights will be held at Sunset Park starting at 5pm with our annual Golf Cart Parade. Come celebrate with Christmas carols by candlelight, the tree lighting ceremony, complementary refreshments and much more.
Santa will arrive once the tree has been lit by fire truck and will speak to each boy and girl.
So, come celebrate Christmas Beach style with the citizen of Mexico Beach.
Let's Celebrate Twice! No need to wait another 12 months to celebrate the next new year. Ring in the New Year twice. Start in the Eastern Time Zone in Port St. Joe and St. Joe Beach, then travel west just five minutes to Mexico Beach and celebrate all over again an hour later in the Central Time Zone. The trolley service will be carrying passengers to local hot spots and everywhere in between. The trolley rides are FREE to all riders but we do ask for tips for the drivers. ( After 10pm all riders must be 21 or older to ride).

More than 20 nationally acclaimed artists will gather on Florida's Forgotten Coast to participate in the 12th annual Forgotten Coast en Plein Air Invitational, America's Great Paint-Out. Painters will set up their easels and pull out their brushes to document the landscape and culture of this last vestige of authentic "Old Florida" – the coastal stretch of scenic North Florida between Mexico Beach and Alligator Point.
