Just 12 miles from Jacksonville, Fla., and 20 miles north of historic St. Augustine, TPC Sawgrass offers two championship golf courses that are open for the public to enjoy – THE PLAYERS Stadium Course, Home of THE PLAYERS Championship, and Dye’s Valley Course, host of the Web.com Tour Championship.
As the world headquarters of professional golf, the golf courses at TPC Sawgrass offer an unparalleled experience. If you are headed to Florida for a golf vacation, TPC Sawgrass boasts two immaculately-maintained golf courses, both designed by the l
gendary Pete Dye.
THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass was built in 1982 to host THE PLAYERS Championship. As the first true “Stadium Course,” the golf course was designed to improve the overall on-site fan experience. This championship-caliber golf course is accessible to all golf fans.
Working with renowned golf course architect Dye, Commissioner Deane Beman created a course design that favored no particular player or style of play. The result is a truly balanced golf course. Players find a selection of short, medium and long holes within the categories of par-3s, par-4s and par-5s; both right and left doglegs; and a course routing laid out so no two consecutive holes ever play in the same direction. With its signature island green, the 17th hole is one of the most widely-recognized golf holes in the world. This legendary golf course has captured the imagination of golf fans all over the world and is consistently named among the top golf courses worldwide.
