I am a "winter resident" of Fort Myers and I love it there BUT my problem is trying to get access to the Beach. This waiting for hours in traffic just to get on the beach is unacceptable. I had to tell relatives and friends NOT to rent a place on Fort Myers Beach because they would always be stuck in traffic waiting to get on once they leave to go shopping, etc. It's too bad because our beach is beautiful. If one has the patience to wait it out, then there is the parking problem. This has been going on for years. Why has nothing been done? Sorry, I can't recommend our Beach to people. It's the worst access to any beach that I have ever been on. How sad!
