46th Annual Cedar Key Seafood Festival
October 17, 2015 - October 18, 2015
This major event features well over 200 arts and crafts exhibits, and great local seafood in City Park. There will be live musical entertainment at several places around town during the days and nights, and a parade on Saturday morning.
In addition on this weekend, there is an open house at the lighthouse on Seahorse Key, the big island 3 miles to the west of Cedar Key. Explore the lighthouse, look at the exhibits and wander this beautiful island. Shuttle boats are available at City Marina. Be sure to remember your camera and binoculars!
The Lost Railroad is an intense environment with darkness, live insects and reptiles, loud noises, and small spaces! This fundraising event on the farm is NOT recommended for children under 13! Climb aboard our Historical 1800’s Locomotive & Railroad, pray the Zombie corpses of the lost Carnies don't find the train as you journey through the darkness. Once you've discovered the Lost Railroad you'll find other things to do including monster bus rides and more. Welcome to the 34th Annial Yankeetown Arts, Crafts & Seafood Festival!
Come join us November 21-22, 2015. Saturday's hours are from 9am-5pm and Sunday's hours are from 9am-4pm.
This event is held down the beautiful tree-lined boulevard of Riverside Drive in Yankeetown- an "old Florida" coastal village on the Florida's Nature Coast.
Admission and parking is free.
Event will have food, beverages, entertainment, fine arts, crafts, games, and unique merchandise. Come for a day, or the whole weekend!
Kirby Family Farm is transformed into a Christmas wonderland, an unforgettable holiday attraction the whole family can enjoy. There are lots of activities to see and do including the featured train ride through thousands of Christmas lights pulled by an old-fashioned, full size 1800’s locomotive, one of only three just like her still in operation in the world.
Watch Santa come to town on an elephant! Take a quick trek to the Christmas lighting ceremony, held in Heritage Park, 444 NW Main Street immediately following the parade. This exciting evening includes Christmas entertainment along with food and beverages available.
