Railroads and Riverboats

The Cedar Key Historical Society will partner with the North Central Florida Model Railroad Club to bring their railroad exhibits with moving freight and passenger model railroad displays. The Historical Society will display large panels of photographs of riverboats from the 1840's when they piloted the Suwannee River and Gulf waters around Cedar Keys.

Suwannee River Youth Livestock Fair

Wild Hog Canoe & Kayak Race

Nature Coast Challenge

April 21, 2017
Anglers will target the waters of the Withlacoochee River and the Withlacoochee Bay in a fun, conservation-oriented, catch-photo-release format. Fishing will begin at safe light on April 22nd. The entry fee includes a captain's bag with a tournament t-shirt, rights to fish, entry into the raffles and banquet. Trophies, prizes and gift certificates will be awarded for the first place through third place finishers in four open divisions which include Redfish, Trout, Cobia Slam, biggest Redfish, biggest Trout and biggest Cobia. There will also be prizes for best Jr. Angler and "Mystery Fish".

3rd Annual Garden Show & Festival

Bronson Blueberry Festival

Bronson's third annual Blueberry Festival will be taking place on May 12th & 13th. This event will start with registration for the 5k at 6:30am. The 5k will start at 7am. The festival parade will begin at 11am, and finishing at James H. Cobb Park where various craft vendors will be set up until 4pm. There will be a tractor show and local musicians. Tour de Melon Bike Ride

Tour de Melon is a Family trail ride and a Century ride on an area highway route sponsored by Suwannee Valley Rotary Club. 4th of July Celebration

The parade begins on Noble Ave. by the High School at 5:00 p.m. Immediately following the parade festivities continue in Williston Horseman’s Park located 1 mile South of Williston on Hwy 41. Chiefland's Scarecrow City

This is our annual Fall event where individuals, organizations, groups, clubs and businesses build unique SCARECROWS for display on US 19 at the Train Depot Park, from Oct 10th through Nov 23rd. Each scarecrow is creatively themed to promote your interest. You may build your scarecrow in advance and erect it at the event or you may build it at the event between 10 am and 12 pm. Scarecrows are visible from US 19 and are viewed by bicyclists on the Nature Coast State Trail and visitors to the Farmers Market.

Cedar Key Seafood Festival

Clay Landing Days

Clay Landing will bring you to a time when the Seminoles and Settlers lived in the Clay Landing area. There will be Covered Wagon Rides that take you on the North Trail with a stop at the Seminole Chickee Hut were Settlers and Seminoles will let you see what life was like in the Clay Landing area. All activities will begin at Manatee Springs Day Use Area from 10am to 3pm both days. The Day Use Area will also have Settlers showing cooking and crafts of the time period. There are Wheel Chair Accessible Wagon Rides available.
