Levy County is home to Cedar Key, Inglis and Yankeetown on Florida's gulf coast. Learn the story of an old Carnival train that derailed off it’s tracks, just south of the little town of Williston during a terrible storm. When the townspeople came out the next morning it had completely disappeared. Or did it? Come masterfully navigate your way through our Mega Maze of Fun, and see if you can discover the Lost Railroad! Climb aboard our Historical 1800’s Locomotive & Railroad and hold on tight! All ages will enjoy this adventure as it’s not too Scary, but kinda Spooky! It’s Fall family fun like never before!
Kirby Family Farm is transformed into a Christmas wonderland, an unforgettable holiday attraction the whole family can enjoy. There are lots of activities to see and do including the featured train ride through thousands of Christmas lights pulled by an old-fashioned, full size 1800’s locomotive, one of only three just like her still in operation in the world.
Watch Santa come to town on an elephant! Take a quick trek to the Christmas lighting ceremony, held in Heritage Park, 444 NW Main Street immediately following the parade. This exciting evening includes Christmas entertainment along with food and beverages available.
Experience the History of the Civil War like never before! The Kirby Family Farm is very proud to present the Nature Coast Civil War Reenactment again this year. One of the largest reenactments in the Sunshine State, the Battle features a full size historical locomotive on Florida’s largest private railroad. Before the Battle there’s a whole day of fun including period music, daily artillery or mortar demonstrations, Union and Confederate camps, sutlers, optional historic tram ride, authentic artifacts, and more. Enjoy a train ride through the battlefield and camps.
Hop on down to the Kirby Family Farm for our Easter Egg Hunt, Bunny Trail, Rides, Games, Spring Farm Babies Petting area, meet the Easter Bunny and of course climb aboard The Kirby Family Railroad, a full size 1800’s locomotive, one of only three just like her still in operation in the world.
The Fair will have a great midway for the 2015 fair. Lots of food and craft vendors are preparing to join us. The fair includes livestock & equestrian shows plus creative arts competitions. Entertainment includes karaoke, gospel music and the Miss Levy County Fair pageant.
The 15 mile race is held on the Waccasassa River. There are six canoe classes and two kayak classes ranging from amateur to experienced. Prizes are awarded. Everyone is invited to join the festivities for food, music and fun. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the scenic Waccasassa River.
Anglers will target the waters of the Withlacoochee River and the Withlacoochee Bay in a fun, conservation-oriented, catch-photo-release format. Fishing will begin at safe light on April 28. The entry fee includes a captain's bag with a tournament t-shirt, rights to fish, entry into the raffles and banquet. Trophies, prizes and gift certificates will be awarded for the first place through third place finishers in four open divisions which include Redfish, Trout, Cobia Slam, biggest Redfish, biggest Trout and biggest Cobia. There will also be prizes for best Jr. Angler and "Mystery Fish".
