City of Clearwater Economic Development Department

Seaworld Orlando - details / Tabs

The mention of Clearwater likely conjures up visions of sun, surf and sand. It may be dreams of spring-time baseball, spectacular sunsets and warm Gulf of Mexico waters. Visitors have been flocking to our beaches since the 1920s for a little taste of paradise, but the last few years have been a period of extraordinary growth and revitalization. A cornerstone of the renewal is Beach Walk, a $30-million roadway, parking and pedestrian improvement that brings visitors closer to the beach and extends beyond the sugary-white sand. Events at the beach including Spring Break, Jazz Holiday, Outback Bowl festivities and the nightly Sunsets at Pier 60 Festival draws thousands of visitors each year. These events, along with the nearby Clearwater Aquarium and Clearwater Beach Marina, are what led the Travel Channel to name Clearwater one of the "Top 10 Activity Beaches" in the world. When you're making a decision on where you would like to vacation please keep Clearwater in mind, they'll save a spot in the sun for you!

Weddings & Ceremonies on Clearwater Beach:

The City of Clearwater encourages our community and visitors to take advantage of our beautiful beach and enjoy your time with us.

Depending on the size and scope of your event, you may not need a Special Event Permit. If it is a small ceremony of less than 75 people, with no amplified sound or structures (gazebos, tents, etc.), then you are more than welcomed to use our beach for your ceremony. Chairs are allowed on the beach. We do request that any setup be done immediately before the ceremony, and chairs and decorations to be taken off the beach immediately after the ceremony. Please be aware that alcohol, glass and open flames are prohibited on the public beach.

**Please Note : Beach activities north of Avalon Street are not permitted.**

Clearwater Beach has five rental venues, ranging from 40,000 sq. ft. to 84,000 sq. ft.
