Description:

Completed in 1887 the Ponce Inlet Light Station and museum is a National Historic Landmark and one of the last complete large light stations remaining in the U.S. Visitors can climb 203 steps to the top of the tower for a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean, inlet and inland waters. The lighthouse remains a working private aid to navigation to this day. The light station allows visitors the opportunity to climb the lighthouse and tour the historic keepers dwellings containing exhibits on lighthouse history, the US Life Saving Service, Fresnel Lenses, Lighthouses for Airplanes, and much more. A unique nautical gift shop is on site.

Visit with the "Old Lighthouse Keeper" as he describes his duties at the historic Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. All activities are included with regular admission, no reservations required.

Museum at Night

January 16, 2015 Friday, 6:30pm to 8:30pm–Museum at Night Event: Games at the Lighthouse with Lilian Place re-enactors– Climb the lighthouse at night, enjoy playing Victorian games with the re-enactors of the time period from the historic Lilian Place. Meet our own Captain Murphy and here the stories of his adventures on the high seas. All activities are included with regular admission, no advance reservations required.
