On The Ave on August 21st is an eclectic event bringing art, music, performances and the community together for a night of wondrous fun and sophistication. It will take place at the Elizabeth Wesley Plaza on the corner of SW 5th Ave and West Atlantic Avenue. The evenings entertainment begins at 6pm, with main stage entertainment from the Arts Garage. We are excited to bring residents and visitors to areas outside of the traditional downtown, said Stephanie Immelman executive director of the Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative.
Set for Thursday, October 9, from 6 to 10 p.m., On The Ave will be packed with outstanding entertainment, gorgeous art and great food, along Northeast Second Avenue from just north of Atlantic Avenue to just south of Northeast Third Street. “One of the goals of On The Ave is to highlight all that Delray Beach has to offer throughout the year, especially during the off-season months,” says Immelman. “The popular one-night festival was located on West Atlantic Avenue in August and will be held in the Pineapple Grove Arts District in October. There’s a great energy in this area now, thanks in large part to the Hyatt Place Delray Beach & the Arts
Garage, all of which are relatively new to the area. Bringing On The Ave to Pineapple Grove is one more way of showing our support for merchants throughout Delray Beach.”

For more than 20 years, Delray residents and visitors alike have marveled at our Famous 100 Ft Christmas Tree. In 2012 it was named as one of the best Trees in all of the USA, right up there with the trees at Rockefeller Center and the White House. Building the Tree is a month-long community event that brings together people of all ages and all walks of life. The Tree is open every day from the Tree Lighting on December 4th through January 1st. We count on our volunteers to man the Tree, ask for donations and answer endless questions about the Tree and Delray Beach. Without our volunteer coordinators, Allison Good and Mary Anne Volpe, we
ouldn’t be able to keep the Tree open day and night for visitors to marvel at. The most frequently asked question is “Is it real?”
