Bok Tower Gardens

Seaworld Orlando - details / Tabs

Bok Tower Gardens is a "must-see" Florida attraction centrally located between Tampa and Orlando in Lake Wales. Through its historic landscaped gardens, unique Singing Tower, and palatial winter estate, Bok Tower Gardens offers a unique opportunity for visitors of all ages to be one with nature. The meandering garden pathways are lined with ferns, palms, oaks, and pines that fashion a lush backdrop for flowering foliage and seasonal color of azaleas, camellias, and magnolias. As a designated site on the Great Florida Birding Trail, hummingbirds, painted buntings, owls, and other birds are found flying through the live oak canopy. At the center of the beautiful landscaped gardens sits the highlight, and namesake, of this attraction - the majestic, 205-foot tall Singing Tower carillon. This architectural wonder fills the air with the music of the carillon bells during daily concerts at 1 & 3 p.m. Visitors are swept back in time as they tour Pinewood Estate, the winter retreat of Bethlehem Steel executive C. Austin Buck. Daily tours allow visitors to learn about the home's history and get an up-close look at the trappings of a luxurious lifestyle. Winding through natural Florida ecosystems are the Pine Ridge Trail and Preserve Trail. The habitat found here once covered millions of acres across the southeastern United States, but is now in danger of disappearing. Fortunately, we have been able to preserve these lands for you to explore and learn about the rare and endangered plants and animals living here. The Visitor Center features a museum with permanent exhibits that provide insight and historical perspectives on Edward W. Bok's life and influence, as well as the Singing Tower and Gardens. Relax over breakfast, lunch or a snack in the Blue Palmetto Café, and stop in the Tower & Garden Gift Shop for a unique treasure to commemorate your visit to this National Historic Landmark.
