We made the reservation to stay at Sea Cove in August of 2016 (which was almost 4 months before we were leaving for vacation) for 6 weeks. We spoke with Brenda and left the appropriate deposit to hold our reservation which was quoted at $425 a week. We received an email confirmation shortly after summarizing our vacation details which included the price given as well as our deposit. We called November 12th to confirm that everything was all set for us to leave and the woman we spoke to, Donna, had a hard time locating our reservation. After explaining to her that we had already left a deposit, she quickly found it and said that we were all set for the dates originally scheduled. The same evening, a young woman from Sea Cove called us and said that the price we were quoted was incorrect and we would now have to pay double due to the holiday season. We offered $600 a week to try to meet her halfway in price. She emailed us later that night saying, "we apologize for the inconvenience but the reservation you requested for Dec 1-Jan 13, 2017 was not reviewed by the managers and the rates was not approved. We will refund the $200.00 you paid as the security deposit."

We found this to be extremely unprofessional considering they did not contact us stating that there would be any issues. If we had not called, we would have driven down there from Illinois to find out we did not have any reservations at all. The team of Sea Cove was not willing to work with us due to the miscommunications and we were forced to find a new place to stay for our vacation plans at last minute. To add to this, we have had to fight to get our deposit returned after 4-5 separate attempts to contact management. We were told today, November 21st, that the money would be returned to us when we spoke to a new employee who was the most helpful in this whole situation. She was very sympathetic and was disappointed she couldn't help in any other way. After this experience, we will never stay with any establishment associated with Sea Cove due to the complications we experienced. We would rather find a place to spend our money that is willing to openly welcome us and not give us a hard time due to their errors.
