ArtCenter Manatee in downtown Bradenton features 3 large galleries, 5 art studios including a pottery studio and jewelry design studio, a library which houses over 3,000 art volumes and an Artists' Market with great gifts at reasonable prices.
ArtCenter Manatee, formerly Art League of Manatee County, is a 74 year old organization in Manatee County focused on art education for adults and children and exhibition of local, regional and national visual artists' work. ArtCenter Manatee has been particularly focused on community enhancement with involvement in the Bradenton GeckoFest and the newly formed Bradenton Cultural and Business Alliance which seeks to enhance the downtown Bradenton economy through arts and culture. The center also collaborates with other nonprofit organizations, such as Meals On Wheels, PACE Center For Girls, Boys & Girls Clubs, Just For Girls and the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch to provide art classes and experiences for underprivileged youths.
The mission of ArtCenter Manatee is to provide a welcoming, professional environment, educate novice and experienced artists of all ages, provide galleries to exhibit and market original artwork and enhance the visual arts in Manatee County through special events and outreach programs.
