The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation is Florida's only statewide preservation organization. Formed in 1978 as the network of committed preservationists, the mission of the Florida Trust is to promote the preservation of the architectural, historical and archaeological heritage of Florida through advocacy, education and historic property stewardship. The Florida Trust is headquartered in the 1910 Hays-Hood House, also the Preservation Center for the State of Florida.

2014 Annual Statewide Preservation Conference

The Florida Trust will hold its 36th annual conference, which is open to members and the public in Tampa, Florida, May 15-17. Entitled "Minarets to Mid-Century Modern: Preservation in Tampa Bay," the conference will feature workshops, tours and activities that focus on the architectural, archaeological and historical resources in the Tampa Bay region.
