Jungle Island is located in the heart of the city, between downtown and South Beach. Building upon the rich tradition Parrot Jungle began in 1936, today's Jungle Island is home to the world's rarest and most incredible animals, include Pinky, the hi-wire bicycle riding Cockatoo, Mama Cass, the only tame Cassowary on the planet, and Vulcan the liger,a mix between a lion and a tiger and all of 900 lbs! You can also see Lord Ivory a rare White Lion who shares his home with 4 White Tigers. Jungle Island is also home to Pumpkin and Peanut, only the third set of Orangutan twins to be born in captivity. Guests marvel at the engaging animal shows and presentations, participate in hands-on interactions with fascinating animals, and are amazed by the park's breathtaking landscapes and vistas.

Penguin Pals Water Safety at Jungle Island

Jungle Island is taking charge to help reduce the number of drowning incidences by offering the park’s first-ever ‘Penguin Pals’ water safety program. In partnership with the American Red Cross and Miami-Dade County Public Schools, South Florida’s favorite landmark attraction invites children and teens ages 17 and under for informative presentations and exhibits on how to stay safe around the water and promote healthful aquatic recreation.
