Central Florida nature can be found in its purest form at this 17,650-acre preserve which borders more than six miles of the St. Johns River and four miles of the Wekiva River and Blackwater Creek. Horseback riding and primitive equestrian camping are the most popular activities at this site, however there are ample opportunities for hikers and bicyclists. This is a wilderness area, use caution. There is no access to any water body. Primitive camping only. Restroom facilities available.
Katie's Landing is a lovely small picnic area with a boat launch for non-engine boats only. This park is on the Wekiva River and can be found on 262 Wekiva Park Drive, Sanford, FL 32711.
