If you prefer, you may take the trolley to "Times Square" or take the trolley to the south end of the island to Lover's Key State Park. The trolley stops, going in either direction, are very conveniently located adjacent to the inn. Fort Myers Beach is known for its beautiful white-sugar sand, fabulous swimming since there is little or no undertow and mesmerizing sunsets. Recreational pleasures include parasailing, canoeing, tennis, golfing (on the island), kayaking, sightseeing tours and much more. Ahoy Mateys! Join us at the historic Old San Carlos seaport for 3 days of pirate fun on the waterway of Estero Island. Voted the #2 Pirate Festival in the Country by USA Today, the Pirate Festival on Fort Myers Beach invites you to celebrate a decade of pirate fun, complete with a pirate ball, pub quest, live music and performances, ship battles and children’s activities! Pirates and landlubbers both young and old are sure to walk away with memories to treasure. Then fun begins at 4pm on Friday Oct 7 and continues on the 8th and 9th from 10am-5pm. There is a $5 suggested donation for entrance to the fest.
