Description:

This mission is a memorial to Clara English White (1845-1920). Eartha M.M. White (1876-1974) continued the humanitarian work of her mother, with a life of public service in Jacksonville that included the Clara White Mission, the Milnor Street Nursery, and a tuberculosis sanitarium for Jacksonville's African American community. The Clara White Mission moved in 1932 to its current location where it serves as both a museum and a homeless center.
