Forgotten Coast Chef Sampler

The Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce will host the 18th Annual Forgotten Coast Chefs Sampler on Sunday, February 28th, 2016, from 6:00-9:00 pm. Chefs from all over the Forgotten Coast will prepare their most creative dishes at the historic Fort Coombs Armory located on 4th Street and Avenue D in Apalachicola. Sample an array from our area restaurants. Our talented shopkeepers and local designers give the event an extraordinary touch and add creative flair by decorating each table individually. Apalachicola Art Walk & Wine Festival

April 02, 2016 - April 03, 2016
Art in all forms will be woven in and around picturesque downtown Apalachicola on April 2nd 2016, where artists and musicians will be showing, selling and demonstrating their talents. The festivities continue into the evening with a wine tasting at 6 p.m. Afterwards area chefs will prepare dishes at their restaurants pared with special wines. The evening's finale will be a professional performance at the Dixie Theatre at 8 p.m.

18th Apalachicola Antique & Classic Car & Boat Show

April 16, 2016
Apalachicola will host the 18th Annual Apalachicola Antique & Classic Boat Show on Saturday, April 19, 2015. Antique boats, examples of classic and traditional vessels, workboats, and fiberglass and aluminum classics will all be on display throughout the day. This festival emphasizes the maritime history of our picturesque coastal town. Special highlights include home-built boats by skilled craftsmen, antique outboard engines, plus antique automobiles and art booths. The Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve will have displays on the Apalachicola River and its flora and fauna, along with booths featuring: the Coast Guard Auxiliary, kids model boat building, the National Weather Service and boat building demonstration throughout the day. The Apalachicola Traders’ Canoe, a hand built 50-foot long vessel used between 1750-1850, recovered from the Apalachicola River will be on display at the Cotton Warehouse and the restored 1877 gaff-rigged schooner the Governor Stone will also be in attendance.
