The Suncoast Arts Fest, Pasco Counties premiere arts festival is proud to be celebrating its 10th year of supporting education funding for the arts within Pasco County. The festival will be held January 17 and 18, 2015 in centrally located, quaint “small town” environment at The Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This upscale shopping venue is located just off of I-75 in the northern part of the Tampa Bay area. With a winding main street edged with trees, the venue provides the perfect setting for art lovers to view and buy one of a kind fine art creations.
For the past several years the festival has attracted upwards of 100,000 attendees during the two-day event and fine artists and craftsmen from all over the United States.
125 fine artists and craftsman will display art that includes ceramics, watercolor, acrylics, oils, mixed media, drawings, graphics, fiber, photography, glass and jewelry to mention a few.
In addition, the event includes live performances and entertainment by regional and local youth. Sidewalk chalk artists liven up the street. A kids art garden provides unique arts for the younger visitors, and upcoming “Emerging Artist work is displayed as well. A unique “Phoneography contest” utilizing smartphones where attendees have the opportunity to explore their creative side.
To mark our 10th year the Suncoast Arts Fest has invited internationally known glass artist, Duncan McClellan to join the event, on Sunday in bringing his mobile glass etching unit that allows attendees to create a design and have it etched in glass.
