Everglades Wonder Gardens

Established during the height of Florida's roadside attractions, Everglades Wonder Gardens celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2016. The 3.5-acre botanical jungle features exhibits of rescued tropical birds and reptiles. Highlights include a flamingo pond, alligator pool with 38 gators, duck ponds, aviary, turtle and tortoise exhibits. The plant collection includes 12 varieties of palms, African mahogany, kapok, fruit and nut trees, a bromeliad garden, butterfly garden, hundreds of orchids and much more. The Natural History Museum features artifacts collected beginning in 1936. Picnic grove, gift shop. Adjacent restaurant.
