Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival

The Sunsets at Pier 60 Daily Festival and the City of Clearwater announce the 5th annual Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival Presented by Visit St.Petersburg Clearwater April 14th-23rd 2017. The event is held on Clearwater Beach, Florida. Each year, a new theme is featured for the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit, an artistic walk-through sand sculpture display inside a 21,000 square-foot tent. Last year's festival attracted 36,000 visitors to the Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit. The ten-day festival will include a variety of free activities on Clearwater Beach including sand sculpting clinics, speed sand demonstrations, a children's play area, fireworks, free concerts on the beach and extended Sunsets at Pier 60 hours. On the second day of the festival, the Master Sand Sculpting Competition will begin inside the exhibit tent. Sculptors will spend three days creating a themed masterpiece, giving visitors an opportunity to watch the sculptors at work, and the completed works will be on display during the remainder of the event.
