LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts at the Meginnis-Munroe House

LeMoyne Arts is Tallahassee's oldest and longest running art gallery and education center. Offering new exhibits each month, gallery shop and education center, there is always something to see and do at LeMoyne. Visit the beautiful outdoor sculpture garden for a quiet escape from the city. Constructed in 1854, this house was moved southward on logs in 1903 to its present location, and is currently the home of the LeMoyne Arts. During the Civil War, the house was used as a temporary hospital for Confederate soldiers wounded at the February 1864 Battle of Olustee.
