Econfina River State Park

The Econfina River meanders like a dark ribbon through pine and oak-palm forests to broad salt marshes dotted with pine islands. The park protects a mosaic of landscapes, which can be explored by foot, bicycle or horseback on nine miles of trails. Paddlers and boaters can launch from a boat ramp at the park entrance, 2.2 miles before the river empties into the Gulf of Mexico. Picnic tables are available near the park entrance. Equestrians must register with the park office before using a trail.
