Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center, Inc. (CHEC)

Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center [CHEC] is an environmental non-profit established in 1987. We offer environmental education and recreational activities and programs to citizens and visitors to the Charlotte Harbor and the Lemon Bay area. CHEC has two locations and offers: Wading Trips, Nature Trails and Guided walks, Estuary Boat Tours, Volunteer opportunities and Presentations - Schedules of activities can be found on our web-site calendar: checflorida.org or by calling our office 941-575-5435.

Alligator Creek Preserve, 10941 Burnt Store Road, Punta Gorda, Florida has 4 miles on nature trails, visitor center offering eco-displays and a gift shop. The Alligator Creek Preserve is adjacent to the Charlotte Harbor State Park Preserve.

Cedar Point Environmental Park, 2300 Placida Road, Englewood, Florida is ecologically unique along side Oyster Creek and Lemon Bay , home to bald eagles, gopher tortoises, owls and a lot more, seven 7 nature trails and a visitor center.
