Southwest Florida Museum of History

Housed in the former Atlantic Coastline Railroad depot, the museum is home to the history of Southwest Florida. Paleo Indians, the Seminoles, Spanish explorers and early settlers are just some of the people you'll meet as you view the exhibits and annual traveling exhibit. Peek inside a pioneer "Cracker" house and step aboard a 1929 private Pullman rail car. A bilingual Audio Tour is available at no extra charge. An education room holds 60 people theater or 40 workshop style.
