TPC Tampa Bay is an 18-hole, par-71, stadium-style course designed by Bobby Weed with Chi Chi Rodriguez as the PGA TOUR player consultant. The course was created to not only challenge the top golfers of the world, but to also provide a challenging and fun experience for players of all abilities with a variety of teeing areas that allows the course to be played from 5,036 yards from the forward tees to 6,898 from the TPC championship tees. Since being built in 1991, the facility has earned numerous accolades including: a 4-star rating in Golf Digest's "Places to Play." It has annually been voted the top golf course in the Tampa Tribune's Readers Choice Awards and has been named the top golf facility in West Central Florida and one of the top five in the state by Florida Golf Magazine. Recently, TPC Tampa Bay was also ranked as the #18 Public Golf Facility in United States by the 2009 Golfworld Magazine reader's choice poll. The course is routed around natural wetlands, cypress heads and numerous ponds and lagoons, which are home to an abundance of wildlife. This natural setting and the wildlife variety is the reason why the Club is one of only two courses in the area to be designated as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
The accolades do not end with the golf course however, as the Golf Shop was ranked as one of the Top 25 Daily Fee Golf Shops in the US by Golf World Business Magazine. The Golf Shop features equipment, apparel, accessories and Tournament Players Club specialty items. The Tournament Players Club of Tampa Bay boasts a first class practice facility with laser measured target greens, bunkers and short game areas and a 8,000 square foot practice green. The clubhouse features the TPC Grill serving a breakfast and lunch menu daily and offering full bar service. In addition to the TPC Grill and Golf Shop, the clubhouse has full men's and women's locker room facilities with lockers available for daily or annual rental.
