Southwest Florida Golf Expo This Week

By: Tim McDonald

If you're a golfer in southwest Florida, you might want to swing by the inaugural Southwest Florida Golf Expo in Estero Thursday, March 29.

You're liable to find some good deals on some high-tech equipment, like drivers, putters and other clubs.
The expo is the first of its kind in the area, and it's being held at the Germain Arena.
They'll have golf clinics and swing analysis every 30 minutes on the expo's center stage, starting at 11 a.m. The clinics are on a variety of topics, like putting, short game, sand saves, course management, sports psychology and fitness.
Best of all – in my opinion – there will be multiple vendors doing club testing. In other words, you can hit all those fancy new clubs you've been reading about and see if they actually work for you.
There will be a variety of vendors there as well. For example, the Artifacts of Golf sells golf memorabilia, antique photos and autographs of golfers dating back to the 1920s.
Tickets are $15 for adults and seniors get in for $10. Kids get in free at the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Also, the Par Busters discount book will be available. Call 239-948-7825 for more information.
