Blind Creek Beach: Pristine and Perfect
By Lauren Tjaden
Blind Creek Beach, on a barrier island south of Fort Pierce, qualifies as pristine by any standards, a natural beach where ospreys soar the breeze and sea turtles waddle ashore to nest.
You could even rightfully call it primitive, since this eight-mile stretch lacks basic amenities such as fresh water, never mind restrooms with flushing toilets.
Yet that’s what makes Blind Creek Beach perfect.
The sun, the perfume of salted-air, and the music of the surf combine into an ideal recipe to reconnect with the outdoors and loved ones.
If it feels right to ditch your clothes and soak up the good vibes, that’s okay, too. Blind Creek Beach is all about communing with everything natural.
