Out of all those places, tiny Cedar Key, (population 896), surfed onto Budget Travel’s List of the 10 Coolest Small Towns in America 2011. How awesome is that?
The small wonder is snuggled on Florida’s gulf coast about 130 miles north of Tampa, boasting a boatload of charm and laid-back activities that include:

- Scooping up treasures at the local art galleries
