This November the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Seminole Indian Museum hosts their 20th annual American Indian Arts Celebration (AIAC) on the museum grounds at the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation. The festival has become widely regarded as an indigenous cultural explosion in the Everglades and grows in attendance from year to year. Along with the Native American Dance, Music, Arts and Culture, festival goers enjoy Wildlife Shows and a wide variety of Native American Vendors. The sensational backdrop for this event is the Everglades, centrally located in the heart of Big Cypress between Broward, Collier and Hendry counties. The rich blue skies, the verdant fields and the miles of cypress hammocks and cattle prairie provide the ultimate setting for this amazing celebration of arts, dance, culture and music. Festival admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and $7.50 for children 6-18; children 5 and under are free. Admission includes free parking and entrance to our award-winning, Smithsonian Affiliate museum. Our Museum beautiful boardwalk is wheelchair accessible and features over 50 cultural, plant and animals markers as well as places to rest and learn along the way. As a TripAdvisor 2015-2017 Certificate of Excellence winner, you'll find it worth the drive to visit the Museum and learn more about Seminole culture and history, especially for our annual AIAC special event.
