Miami layovers are officially more luxe with a visit to the American Express Centurion Lounge in Miami International Airport.

A perfect place to recharge and reboot on your trip to or from Florida, the Centurion Lounge is a sprawling 8,000 square feet located in the North Terminal in Concourse D.

The interior of the American Express Centurion Lounge pays homage to the city’s reputation for design, most notably a floor-to-ceiling textural wall resembling a wave that gives a nod to the city’s coastal vibe.

Once in the lounge, its range of amenities allows American Express card members to enjoy an all-inclusive haven in the airport.

Free Perks at the Centurion Lounge

  • World-class food from local James Beard award-winning Chef Michelle Bernstein
  • Beverages from renowned mixologist Jim Meehan
  • Spa treatments, including massages and manicures
  • Dedicated work spaces with high-speed wifi and plenty of power outlets
  • Cozy semi-private nooks
  • Soundproof kids play area

American Express is working Bernstein, Chef/Owner of Cena and Crumb on Parchment and Chef of Seagrape in the Thompson Miami Beach hotel, to feature her locally inspired, seasonal menus that are complemented by Miami-inspired cocktails crafted by mixologist Jim Meehan and wine selections by wine director Anthony Giglio.

“What I love about joining The Centurion Lounge is that we’re elevating airport dining by creating a restaurant-like culinary experience,” Bernstein said. “I didn’t design a menu for an airport; I designed a menu that has the same passion, quality and South Miami flavors that I serve locals and visitors every day.”

Bernstein’s custom menu, which will rotate regularly for variety and seasonality, includes fresh and light items like watermelon salad and cool minty pea soup, as well as comfort foods like her signature fried chicken and vanilla bean panna cotta dessert.
