Attention, shoppers. H&M is now open at Miami International Mall.
The 22,000-square-foot space is packed with clothes for men, women and kids. The arrival at Miami International Mall comes alongside a slew of other Florida locations, Orlando being the first in 2010.
Since then, H&M brought its duds to Pembroke Pines, Wellington, West Palm Beach, Miami Beach and Aventura. What can I say, we Floridians love Swedish style.
Bringing a green angle to the store is the global garment recycling program. It’s H&M’s effort to help save natural resources and reduce its carbon footprint.
Customers are encouraged to donate unwanted items from any brand while shopping the store to receive a 15 percent discount off your entire purchase for each bag donated. To bring awareness to the campaign, guests at the grand opening who bring in their castoffs will not only be treated to the 15 percent off voucher, they will also be given the opportunity to win $50 and $100 gift cards.
If you’ve never been to an H&M opening, prepare yourself. The line is usually long, but there’s high energy coming from it. DJs blasting great tunes, giveaways, discounts, even dance parties are all part of the whole experience. Arrive early because the line gets long fast and the first 100 guests in line will receive an H&M T-shirt and an Access to Fashion Pass, valued from $10 to $300.
And then, at the stroke of noon, the doors open and the party goes from the line to the racks, where you can put those passes to use.
Trust me, it’s not something you’ll want to miss.
If you go …
