Got a couple of hours? That's all it takes to enjoy this paved bike pathway that meanders along the route of the former M&B Railroad line. It's shady, quiet and makes for a perfect introduction into the beauty of the Blountstown area.
By the Numbers
The trail isn't terribly long – 4 miles one-way – making it a great ride for all skill levels. Of course, doubling back to the trailhead at Sam Atkins Park or Neal Landing on the Apalachicola River will provide cyclists with an 8-mile scenic ride that's full of scenery and shade.
What to Bring
Since it's short and primarily shady, you don't need to bring too much on this ride. Bring water (there's a fountain at the Blountstown Depot Museum), a snack and dress appropriately for the weather. You'll be back at the trailhead in no time.
