PGA National Makes Guinness World Record With World's Longest Sundae

Do you remember the Ice Cream Festival Weekend held at PGA National Resort & Spa in the fall?  Well, one of their goals was to have the "Longest Ice Cream Dessert" in the world, and they did it!  It's been officially registered in the Guinness Book of World Records!

Here are the numbers ...
-- 1,268 participants
-- 1,249-foot, 10.8-inch ice cream sundae (the previous record was 670 feet)
-- 462 pounds of sprinkles
-- 840 pounds of whipped cream
-- 1,748 pounds of bananas

That weekend, the packed roster of activities included an ice cream pairing dinner, Whole Foods Big Taste ice cream social, 50’s-style Sock Hop BBQ, Golf Kart Drive-in Movie, and Face Freeze Frenzy celebrity ice cream eating contest.
