The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum offers visitors a wonderful look at history with stories from the past and magnificent views of Northeast Florida from atop the lighthouse.

A few months ago, my family and I visited the lighthouse and loved exploring the artifacts found from shipwrecks. My kids especially loved the boat-like playground area.

Check out the video below of our visit and see the views for yourself – it’s definitely a sight to see and I can’t wait to go back again soon.

My family is planning a trip to Florida for 2 weeks. The last week of May and the first week of June. Family consist of 2 adults and a 10 year old. We will be camping as much as possible in State Parks. We will be trying to see as much of Florida as possible. We are going to be coming from Virginia going down the east coast side down through the Keys and back up the west coast until reaching I-10 cutting back over east. Places of interest that I know of at the moment would be Lego Land, an alligator farm, a great place to see manatees, a great beach recommendation for finding seashells, Sea World or someplace like it. Is Cypress Gardens still open? Please send us places of interest. Whether it be caverns, caves, nature hikes, great beaches, museums, kayaking, a commercialized amusement type area. We just have no idea what we shouldn't miss on our trip. All suggestions are greatly appreciated. If there is a fascinating campground state owned or private please include that as well. We really don't want to miss anything. We are not interested in Disney World this trip. Thank you very much in advance for your help. Please send the information to Donna James, 452 Woodlake Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23452
