There’s notthing much cuter than baby penguins, and at SeaWorld Orlando they're celebrating a ‘penguin chick’ boom.
Since Nov. 30, 15 penguin chicks have hatched at Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin.
Most of the babies are under the watchful eye of the Aviculture Team for monitoring and feedings behind the scenes in the penguin nursery. Soon, they’ll begin “field trips” into the exhibit to join the rest of the colony.
However, you can still join in the excitement of these new baby chicks. Beginning Jan. 22, you have the chance to help name a Gentoo chick. Cast a vote for your favorite name by visiting SeaWorld Orlando Facebook page.
Also this weekend, don’t miss Wild Days Penguin Lover’s Weekend with SeaWorld Animal Ambassador Julie Scardina. You’ll have the opportunity to virtually dance like a penguin, walk alongside a penguin colony and experience some fun photo opportunities to share with your friends. Scardina will also share the story of her love for animals and conservation.
