Because I'm a mom, I love sneaking in some education while having fun on vacation with my kids. Here's a good way to accomplish both:

The West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority invites you to step aboard the trolley, step back in time and learn the stories of West Palm Beach’s historic sites and landmarks.

West Palm Beach Station – Peter W. Cross for VISIT FLORIDA

The 45-minute ride through Downtown West Palm Beach features guides portraying residents from 1945. This journey through this historic area highlights the Clematis District’s distinctive architectural styles.

Stops include West Palm Beach's first “skyscraper,” the 10-story Comeau Building; Pioneer Linens, known as Pioneer Hardware when built in 1912; the Harris Music Lofts built in 1902 and the Downtown waterfront.
