Leading up to the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, a group of talented art students are exhibiting their work at The Ritz.
Ten students from the Academy of Arts and Minds magnet high school in Miami, will showcase a myriad of art inspired by Florida marine life, all under the tutelage of six professional artists.
The two-part mentoring series begins at the Miami Seaquarium with a private workshop led by professional artists from the Coconut Grove Arts Festival including:
- Kristin Holeman (jewelry/photography)
- Ed King (painting)
- Paul Marcellini (photography)
- Jackie Roch (printmaking and drawing)
- Alexander Mijares (painting)
- Beau Tudzarov (digital)
The workshop provides the students a one-on-one opportunity to discuss future careers with the professionals. Folowing the interactive workshop, students, along with the visiting artist mentors will showcase a piece of artwork at an exclusive, gallery exhibition at The Ritz-Carlton in Coconut Grove.
