Art Walk at the FAT Village & More Events in Fort Lauderdale

Have you been to the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District? Located along the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, it's an ideal place to score your daily dose of culture, history and the arts.

Check out these not-to-miss tours and events: 

Art Walk

Enjoy an evening of great art, live music and much more as you explore this unique neighborhood of shops, cafes and galleries. This former downtown warehouse village turned cultural district hosts a monthly art work on the last Saturday of every month.  Oh, and in case you were wondering, "FAT" stands for Flagler Arts & Technology. 

When: Last Saturday of each month from 7 to 11 p.m., 
Where: The FAT Village is located at NW 1st Ave between 5th and 6th.

Public Tours of Bonnet House 
This eclectic house features unique art-inspired rooms and magnificent gardens. By the time early settler Hugh Taylor Birch purchased the Bonnet House site in 1895, the grounds had already witnessed 4,000 years of Florida history. 

When: Tours are available Tues. through Sun. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Closed Monday).
Where: The Bonnet House is located at 900 North Birch Road.

Guided Tours of Historic Stranahan House Museum
Learn about Fort Lauderdale’s founding through a visit to this enchanting, beautifully-preserved home, which serves as an enduring legacy for historic preservation. 

When: Daily tours at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Where: The Historic Stranahan House Museum is located at 335 SE 6th Ave.

Tour Old Fort Lauderdale
Experience the fascinating history and culture of Fort Lauderdale firsthand. Right in the heart of downtown, tour the History Museum in the 1905 New River Inn, Broward's oldest hotel building. Visit the 1899 Replica Schoolhouse and the 1907 King-Cromartie House. 

When: Tues. through Sun. from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: The Fort Lauderdale History Center is located at 219 SW 2nd Ave.
