Captiva Island is the quirky, tiny sister island of Sanibel, located northwest of Fort Myers Beach. It doesn’t have traffic lights or highrises, and it's easy to explore on foot.

Noshing on a giant grouper sandwich at RC Otter's while listening to live music is a must-do.

Or eat at the Bubble Room, where it's Christmas all year long.

Afterward, try on silly hats at the Bubble Room Emporium.

You'll want to make sure to check out the amazing art galleries, like Jungle Drums.

You'll find enchanting oddities all around the village, like a giant's chair. You can even sit down with an enormous frog.

Of course you'll want to enjoy some down time by the beach.

You can scoop up beautiful seashells at this famed shelling hotspot.

To replenish your energy, raise a glass by the beach at the Mucky Duck.

For an ideal end to the day, see the sunset from a sailboat with New Moon Sailing.
