Boca Raton marks Brazilian Independence Day on Sept. 6 with live music, food, art, fashion and dancing in the street at the “2nd Annual Brazilian Beat.”
The South Florida city’s activities begin at 6 p.m. in Sanborn Square, 72 N. Federal Hwy. (one block north of Palmetto Park Road).
Along with Brazilian food, there will be a Zumba showcase, Capoeira dancers, carnival dancers and drummers.
Free parking for is available at City Hall, 201 W. Palmetto Park Rd., and the Downtown Library, 200 NW Boca Raton Blvd.
Visitors are encouraged to "come early, stay late.”
