Billed as "Where Culture and Entertainment Meet," the Art After Dark Series at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach takes place every Thursday, 5-9 p.m.
It's a mixture of everything artsy, from exhibits, tours, lectures and conversations with curators to live music, DIY classes and wine tastings. There are also tantalizing dishes from the museum café, Fratelli Lyon, and beverages at the atrium bar. Programs relate to the museum’s impressive collection of 7,000 American, European and Chinese works, and special exhibitions, as well as holidays and historical and cultural landmark dates.
Here’s what’s up for Thursdays in August (which happens to also feature free admission for Florida residents):
Aug. 22: The Baron Sisters and EX-Norwegian perform; cooking demonstration by Fratelli Lyon.
Aug. 29: Blues-rock band The Flyers and R&B group Rawky perform; tour of Architecture in Detail and Baroque Art.
