Sunny Isles Beach will pay tribute to the women of jazz at its 6th annual Jazz Fest Nov. 15-17.
Expected to attract more than 2,000 festival goers, a “Tribute to Women in Jazz” kicks off at 8 p.m. on Nov. 15 with an evening of “Jazz Libations and Vibrations” at Piazzetta Marketplace and Restaurant, 17875 Collins Ave., inside the Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach.
The main event takes place at Heritage Park from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., with gates opening at 6 p.m. (Tickets are $15 per person for general admission and $50 per person for the VIP seating which includes tables, chairs, food and beverages). The evening will feature Nicole Yarling, Wendy Pedersen, Paulette Dozier and Ashlee Moss, accompanied by the Melton Mustafa Orchestra.
Trump International Beach Resort, 18001 Collins Ave., will close the celebration weekend on Nov. 17 from noon to 3 p.m. with a “New Orleans Jazz Brunch,” featuring the Night Breeze Jazz Trio (tickets are $35 per person in advance, $45 at the door).
The jazz festival is produced by the City of Sunny Isles Beach in partnership with the Sunny Isles Beach Tourism and Marketing Council to benefit Joshua’s Heart Foundation.
Sunny Isles Beach is on a 2½-mile strip of beach between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
