With its swanky shops and magazine-worthy homes, Naples has a reputation for being hoity-toity. But with a little homework, you’ll discover that Naples also boasts affordable things to do.

A couple of museums even offer free admission -- perfect for staying on budget during the holidays. Here’s how to get something for nothing in Naples:

The museum: The Baker Museum

The offer: Art lovers, drop in for a free docent-led tour Tuesday through Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., or Sunday at 1 p.m.

The savings: Regular adult admission costs $10.

The museum: C’mon - Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples

The offer: Here’s yet another reason why I love public libraries. Members of can borrow a C’mon Access Pass good for free admission for up to four people per week.

The savings: Regular admission is $10 for adults and children.
