Panorama of the Week: Bahia Honda State Park

Camping at Bahia Honda State Park definitely ranks as the most memorable experience since becoming a full time RV traveler. If you've ever passed Bahia Honda State Park on U.S. 1 (that's it on the right in the photo) and been amazed at the incredible view, it's even more insane while sitting at your own campsite. Trust me on that one.

I shot this photo with just my phone, on a typical evening at the park. Of course, that's the campground on the left, and centered in the middle of the photo is the old Bahia Honda Bridge. Not a bad spot, huh?

All in all, we stayed at Bahia Honda for around three weeks. That was the hardest place ever to leave, and I can't wait to get back down there again next year.

Here's a tip: book as early as possible, because Bahia Honda State Park is one of the most sought after campgrounds in the country. There's nothing else like it. For more information, check out www.floridastateparks.org/bahiahonda.
